Student Services in the Digital Age – 13th Polish-German Colloquium 2022

July 5-8, 2022 in Lodz, Poland.
Save the date and block your calendars for a key European conference on students services in the digital age. Join a major European student affairs event and take part in the 13th Polish-German colloquium, organised in joint efforts by DSW and the Lodz University of Technology July 5-8 2022 Lodz (Poland).

Student affairs and services in higher education have entered the digital era before the pandemic, but the last two years have jump-started a process that will change services for students like nothing else.

Digitalisation has proven to be both promise and challenge for higher education and student service institutions alike. It is a good time to take a close look at how technical developments fundamentally change student services, how new tools can improve campus life, and how digitalisation boosts learning, innovation and student well-being.

Discuss the potential of the digital era for student services, and become part of a wider European community with panel discussions and experts from Poland, Germany, France, and many more in the following thematic panels:

  • Effects of the pandemic on students’ well-being
  • Student Services in a Post-Covid World?
  • Effects of the Covid19 on crisis communication, student information and orientation
  • Development of digital infrastructures in student services
  • European Student Card: the emergence of a European digital student services infrastructure
  • Digital Student Servies: innovative projects and good practice

The conference programme also includes a tour of the splendid campus of the Łódź University of Technology (LUT) as well as student residence halls.

At the same time, we invite you to discover the dynamic heart of Poland’s rapid economic and cultural development and learn more about the dramatic history of the city of Łódź. Once a hub of Jewish, Polish, and German culture alike, and with a fascinating history of industrialisation and textile industries that is still present in its architecture, the Łódź of today is a new centre of education, arts, and culture.

Łódź University of Technology, our host, is one of the leading Universities of Technology in Poland with more than 12’000 students in 60 disciplines, 1’200 academic staff and a modern infrastructure for student life.
